Whom benefits from SavRaw Organics Proceeds?

Rio Vista Elementary

Uses the proceeds from the SavRaw fundraiser to facilitate their Educational Garden Program. Each class has it's own bed and learn first hand the Organic and Sustainable mothods of growing food.

Wonderland Elementary
Proceeds from SavRaw fundraiser benifit the Wonderland Kids with organic snacks and organic food tastings. In addition to bringing life to the schools garden, They hold monthly tasters to open kids minds towards healthy food choices, and get an understanding of Los Angeles's local seasonal offerings.

Muse School

At MUSE School we are so excited to be launching our 'Seed to Table' learning project. The children will be picking their own seeds, planting them and caring for them through harvest. At the time of harvest they will prepare meals using the foods they grow and learn the various methods of healthful preserving for the foods we want to store for future use.

Our goal is for the children to grow as much of our own food right here behind the kitchen! The rest we will supplement from local, organic farmers.

Walgrove Elementary School Garden

Donations from CSA California benefit Walgrove Elementary's student body fund, which is used for bus and fee costs of field trips. The school has a garden that is already funded by a grant.  Instead of funding the garden, CSA California is happy to provide a fundraiser for the school that is healthy.  Hopefully other schools will be encouraged to institute healthy fundraisers as well. friendsofwalgrove

Linwood Howe Elementary uses the proceeds from the SavRaw
fundraiser in the following ways:

To maintain and enhance the Kindergarten Garden including purchasing plants and supplies to support the Kindergarten Gardening Project.  The Kindergarten Gardening Project is a rotating planting project done by the Kindergarten children to learn about seed germinating, planting, and growing vegetables. To maintain several raised gardening beds enjoyed by the entire school to promote soil science and earth-to-table concepts. To purchase necessary materials for improving our recycling program.  Linwood Howe parent volunteers are making great efforts at significantly reducing the amount of waste the school generates as well as improving recycling facilities at the school.
